Yes actual books. Plural. Screaming!
If you’ve followed Katie for a while, you’ll know that her world is built around embracing your weirdness and finding joy in small moments. Now, that same magic is being turned into a middle grade book series!
What The Katie Abey Book Series Is About....
The series will follow Ada Jade as she starts high school and navigates friendships, fitting in, and figuring out who she is… all while holding onto her whimsical personality.
Katie shared that Ada already feels like a second child to her, and even though the first draft isn’t finished yet, the connection is already so strong. And if you know Katie’s illustrative work, you’ll know that kind of honest and emotive vibe always shines through.
Katie's said herself that getting 30,000 words out is a whole new creative journey, and one she’s absolutely loving!
From random Google searches to late night bursts of inspiration, this process has been full of the same energy you see in her art… playful, honest, and a bit chaotic in the best way.
When Are The Books Coming Out?!
The first book, The Crystal Club: Drama, Karma and Chaos, is set to be released in Spring 2027, with the second following in Autumn 2027.
Which means yes… you'll have to be patient. But also, we’ve seen how much love is going into this already, and it will be worth it!
